Portland Trailblazers Future Stays Hopeful

As the Western Conference seems to being going in the wrong directions, the Portland Trailblazers aren’t. After re-signing Brandon Roy on Thursday for five years, Portland is in very good shape. Roy is a key piece to succeeding and keeping up with teams like the Lakers, Spurs, and Mavericks, but is also their future. Roy could be playing in Portland for his career, unless he decides to leave after 2014 because he only committed to the T-Blazers until then. Brandon Roy will be 30 by 2015, so depending on his decision he could end up elsewhere before the end of his career. Last Season he scored almost 27 points per game and that’s as much as you can ask from a still improving young guard. With Brandon Roy back in Portland the Trailblazers have a lot of talent to work with and a team to look out for in the coming years.
